Welcome to our musical instrument artist area. Here
you will find all kinds of information on artists who play the jazz
instruments and other instruments that we have in our inventory. Some of
the instruments we carry are played by New Orleans jazz masters, the
people who make the music heard in big name movies, and Top 40 recording
artists. Here's a taste: |

Pete Fountain
The unrivaled king of Dixieland and Leblanc’s senior endorser, Pete
Fountain became endeared to an entire generation of Americans as a
result of his appearances on the Lawrence Welk TV show in the late
1950s. The rest, as they say, is history. Pete has appeared on the
Tonight show more than 50 times, played four “command performances” at
the White House and still can be seen at his own 600-seat club in the
New Orleans Hilton.

To this day, Pete Fountain is most likely the best-known clarinetist in popular music and New Orleans jazz. For the past 30 years, he has lent his name to the model 1611 Leblanc France clarinet, featuring a 15.00 mm (.590") bore that puts Pete's distinctive "fat" sound within the reach of one and all. "I've made 80 records with that clarinet," says Pete-a convincing testimonial. |

Maynard Freguson
Maynard Ferguson is known for the "world's most exciting
trumpet sound," and in cooperation with the Frank Holton Company he has
designed five trumpet models. Model ST307 is a large-bore trumpet with a
full-length mouthpipe and reversed tuning slide; model ST308 is a
smaller-bore version of the ST307; model ST306 has enormous volume and
projecting power; model LT302 is a special version of the ST306 that
features lightweight tubing for a more open feel and quick response; and
model ST550 is a professional- quality horn that is priced for
students.
His Theme from Rocky I album for Columbia Records was
the first big band jazz album to make the Top 40. Rocky II made
record-breaking sales in its first two weeks of release. Maynard makes
frequent television appearances, tours extensively and imparts his
knowledge and experience to students and educators as a clinician for
the Frank Holton Company.
Maynard Ferguson's newest personal-model trumpet, the
ST307, has been called his "best trumpet sound yet!" The newly designed
full-length mouthpipe combined with the new reversed tuning slide allows
the most dynamic playing freedom ever. The ST307's full high register
is astonishingly easy to play, and it has a pleasing, vibrant feel with a
well-centered sound. Maynard says, "I love the sound I get on this jazz
instrument! The upper register is as fat and big as the middle and
lower, causing no thinned-out sound upstairs."

body to bell brace.

Richard ElliotRichard Elliot's last 5 solo CDs have been #1 on the NAC jazz charts. What a strange coincidence that this is exactly how long he has been playing his LA Sax Instrument.
When approached to have a signature model sax, humble
Richard said "Who would want that?" We say that anyone looking for the
raw, sensual sound of contemporary saxophone, had better check out this
new LA-805 RE Richard Elliot signature model tenor sax.
This is the exact same horn (LA-800 base model) that has
endured Richard's vigorous touring schedule, yet provides the warmth
for his recordings. We have customized it to Richard's specs including
his logo on the bell and signature on the brace. Plus the factory setup
gives you action like Richard's horn on a jazz instrument anyone can
own.
The package comes complete with Richard's mouthpiece of choice, a #7 LA Sax Silver Tenor mouthpiece and a stylish case.

Joe LovanoHow many legends does it take to change a light bulb? You won't care when you are playing the new LA-7303JL Joe Lovano Artist Signature Model Straight Alto and Tenor Saxophones.
Joe teamed
up with LA Sax in 1996 after learning that we had developed a straight
tenor saxophone. Since then, he has worked diligently with our
production staff to refine and enhance the instrument.
With his ideas and our ingenuity combined, the result is the first ever artist signature straight alto and tenor saxophones.
A Satin Silver body with gold lacquer
keys gives this horn the vintage look and feel that so many jazz
instruments players are searching for today.

LA-660. Now we offer the LA-665KW - Kim Water's Signature Curved Soprano.
In a classic Diamond White Metallic
